Operations Associate, Full-time - Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
Who We Are
Capital Village PCS is a small learning community where learners take the lead, grow together, and change the world. We are an intentionally small middle school (grades 6-8) with no more than 45 students per grade level and two teachers in every classroom. Grounded in the principles of EL Education (formerly known as Expeditionary Learning), our students will master academic content through engaging social justice projects.

Operations Associate
We are seeking an Operations Associate who is highly organized, efficient, and a self-starter. A good fit for our team is someone full of creative ideas and eager to contribute to our growth as an organization. The associate will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the operations field and will have plenty of room to grow in our organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the Director of Operations in operational duties, such as greeting guests, room setup and breakdown, lunch distribution, facilitating a safe arrival and dismissal of students, and other tasks.
- Support Capital Village School's student recruitment and enrollment goals by distributing print materials, and connecting with families and students in various community spaces.
- Communicate and build relationships with current and new stakeholders.
- Work independently and with a team on special and ongoing projects.
- Manage inventory and ensure that all supplies are well-stocked and organized.
- Coordinate and oversee school events and activities to ensure smooth execution.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma required, some college preferred.
- Experience in operations, business, or customer service.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated relationship and community-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Stand-out Candidates will have:
- Familiarity with the DC charter school sector.
- Fluency in Spanish.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to use a variety of equipment and tools such as computers, copiers, and equipment for events. Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Due to the amount of time spent standing and/or walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for Light Work.
